P60 wrong

Noticed my P60 is wrong. I have been going round and round in circles trying to get it put right. First of all my empoyer disputed the error. They now admit it is wrong but said that they can't change it, so will put it on my next P60. Surely this is wrong. I am self employed as well as employed so do self assessment and I don't know what to do about this. It is only £21 missing of the current P60. Could do with some advise please.

I have been told that although I received the payments that it didn't go through payroll and I didn't pay tax on it, so maybe it isn't such an issue? They will sort it out by putting it on next years P60?0

I was under the impression that income that is disclosed to the taxman but tax hasn't been paid will be rectified by a tax code change the following year. You're best speaking to the tax man unless there's someone who knows what they're talking about on this forum
