Wednesday 6th July - what small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Good morning everyone, hope we're all well.

Glad to say that everything that was on my list yesterday I got done, APART from the payment to Barcaycard :(

Was so annoyed yesterday. Went into town as I had to pick up OH (couldn't be avoided) and so parked in a Q Park carpark as I quickly ran to get her (help with her bags) and come home. She decided to jump into boots to get some suncream for our hols on Sat (with her advantage points) so with my back breaking I decided to go to the car to put the bags in. Got to the carpark, my ticket was nowhere to be found :( Retraced all my steps as well as asking information desk at the shopping centre and nothing so had to pay full day parking to get home when it should have just been about £2.00. So annoyed at myself :(

Anyway, rant over - today looks like this:

Frozen sausages for breakfast - DD munching on them just now
    Quick tidy-up of the house
Run over the grass with the lawnmower
Take a big bag of Mrs clothes to cash for clothes
Down to parents as they have kindly bought some holiday clothes for my daughter
    Early night tonight

OH won two tickets to the Scottish Open golf tomorrow (put £1.00 in a raffle for myself as I love golf) so my Father and I are heading up. We're in Glasgow and this is in Inverness so a long drive in the morning, probably leave about 6ish.

Hope you all have a great day

    Morning :-)
Today I've done the washing, it's hung out on the line, going to clean the living room, clean out the car, pop into town and pay the £30 I have spare this month off my Halifax credit card then I've picked up some extra hours at work tonight and a few more over the next few days. Busy busy. Have a good day everyone

    Hello Wednesday Savers,
A few offerings from me today:
*Cleared the ironing basket but made sure only to iron what really needed it.
*Quesadillas for lunch to use up leftover tortilla wraps. Kicked in a stray half onion too.
*Tried different salon for haircut. Saves so much having a dry cut. She's done a fab job & despite taking off at least 10cms of hair & a cut that needed precision, the price was just £8. I could hardly believe it!
*Bit of watering & veggie garden maintenance.
*Update grocery budget & move some funds around.
*Jacket potato night. I will make coleslaw & have that with cheese & salad. Mr f has freezer-dived a large portion of pork stew.
    *Knit
*Bought the yarn for knitting a Christmas present today. Needed 5 balls & they were reduced to £1.50 each. Pattern was free so £7.50 for Mum's main gift is a great price, I think. Just got to put the time in to making it now!
*Parked on edge of town & walked in to save £2.80.
*Free coffees & 'Guardian' at Waitrose.
Must go & cheer up my tomato plants now.

JHiggins how annoying about the ticket. How much did you end up having to pay?

I had my own irritating thing today. I had an item sell on ebay but the buyer then turned around and said it was too far away. As it was collection only I have had to relist it. We are talking about a £180 sale so Im gutted really. Thought it was too good to be true.

    Evening all :)
Grandma day today, so achievements were limited!
    Posted 4 ebay parcels
Not spent anything apart from this
Sold another item, which I will need to get ready for posting tomorrow
    HM meals from stores
GD decided it was 'pancakes day', so we made pancakes :rotfl:
Also played in the sand, watered the back garden pots, picked the strawberries (and ate most of them :D) drew with wax crayons, went to the park, fed the ducks, watched endless reruns of peppa pig, whew!

House is a tip, so may start on that after dinner (which OH is preparing :D)

I had forgotten it was my hump day. :D Looks like this is going to be a 50 hour working week for me. Quite tired, but counting the pennies.
