Hello I've just had a bash at making this following a recipe off YouTube, but it seems to be nothing like the ones I've ever had from the takeaway.
I used sesame oil, sherry, garlic, hoisin sauce, honey, five spice, soy sauce. I have just realised that I missed out the sugar but it's not like the rich reddish sauce I was expecting more a sweet brownish gravy ? Does anyone have any recipes tried and tested ?
