Hi all you knitters
I have been an avid Jean Greenhowe knitting freak since my children told me forcefully they didn't want knitted jumpers any more. Gone were the motif knits with cats, snooker tables (I worked that one out on a graph), football colours etc etc. I went through a spell of knitting stuff for myself and wellie boot socks for DH. Then I discovered Jean.
I have knitted so many of her toys over the years - Sam, Sally the Macscarecrow family etc and kept them here and given them away. I change my toys in the lounge over the seasons. Several Santas and Mrs Claus will be down for Christmas! I once knitted 40+ pumpkins from her pattern for the school autumn fair.
I googled her today and she has her own site - I felt there had been no new stuff coming out for ages. There is a free pattern on her site for Rainbow Babies if anyone interested - I dowloaded and printed off.

Mum used to knit loads of these when I was little. I remember a load of scarecrows amongst other things.
The painter clown was my brothers favourite one though. Bet he wouldn't admit to that now he's almost 25 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
