Payments due to be taken at end of July.
Should I be contacting bank reporting card lost to be safe?
Or would any payments taken after these letters have been sent be quickly refundable?

Have you contacted your bank to cancel the continuous payments too? If not I advise call them first thing. I have heard of stories that even if you change your card because you have had previous dealings with a company they still allow the payment to go through on old card. If you speak to the bank and give them a list of companies you are removing continuous authority from and tell then why and that you have also advised the companies also you should be covered. However in your letters to those companies you are stopping authorisation to have you told them that it is because you are arranging a debt payment programme. If you tell then they will usually halt collection activity for a set period to give you space to get set up£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

This is what I sent them all:I have received advice from StepChange Debt Charity Scotland to help solve my debt problem.
I am in financial difficulties and not able to meet my normal monthly payments.
StepChange Debt Charity Scotland is helping me apply for a DPP under the Debt Arrangement Scheme (DAS). They will be in contact with you to confirm my debt with you and the outstanding balance to go into the DPP.
I authorise you to disclose my account details to StepChange Debt Charity and you can contact them on 0800 652 7491. They’re open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm or you can email them at das@stepchange.org
This loan is being paid using a continuous payment authority. I’m withdrawing my authorisation for any more payments to be taken from my account.
The last four digits of the card these payments are being taken from are ****.
In line with the Payment Services Regulation 2009 any more payments taken from the card with be an unauthorised transaction.
Please send me confirmation you have done this.0 -
I would still ring the bank just so they are aware too that the authorisations have been revoked. Always best if everyone concerned is informed. Keep a copy if the letter you have sent and keep any paperwork you receive in return.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

Cancel your bank card to make certain.
Once a card is cancelled ALL future transactions will be declined, the CPA does not transfer between cards, it is unique to the card you authorised the use of (read the small print).
The 16 digit card number is crucial to the transaction, it's Impossible for the PDL companies to debt your account without correct card details.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks. I'll get onto that.
You mentioned on my other thread with regards to when my first DAS payment is likely, "You can wait a few months you know, save up an emergency fund first." - does that apply even after I've sent in the application forms?0 -

Right...
To be honest, as long as it doesn't start with my next salary payment at the end of this month, I'll be able to establish a reasonable emergency fund, so hopefully that's not unrealistic.0
