Definetly look outside of London, I don't know of any tailors who'd make up an entire suit for less than a grand.

You could try "a suit that fits". My husband paid £600 for a suit (outside London).
If you want a lot done you could consider a holiday to Thailand or somewhere similar.

Just make sure you check some of their past work before you shell out anything!

I found two relatively local one from £650 and the other £1100.

I will visit the first, but its looking like alterations on an off the peg

Rule of thumb - if you have to ask the price of bespoke tailoring, you cannot afford it.

The total cost will not come in under £3000 for a fully London tailored suit though, (potentially a lot more, depending on fabric). Anything below this is either tailored offshore or adapted from an off-the-peg part-finished suit.
