Oh, I dunno. I agree christmas has become commercialised but I think the threads on here show people are putting a lot of thought into finding presents which will be liked by the recipient and which don't cost a lot too.
I think that's a pretty thoughtful and caring thing to do - more so than rushing to the shops and buying anything just cos it's xmas?
Obviously, some people are more tied into the religius side of things but that does not have to be the only meaning to christmas and personally, I feel christian values are just that - 'values' - and can be represented in many ways.
Just my opinion of course!0 -

I am not in the least religious so have absolutely no qualms about treating the festive season as nothing other than an excuse for a great big party.I love buying presents and having all my family together over the holidays."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

All the knitted stuff came from 2 HUGE balls of wool which cost £5.90 total and I should get loads more stuff from them, I have more pressies planned if only I can knit them in time!
I hammered the truprint photo mug offer but it was too good to miss, will make some HM nut brittle & coconut ice to put in the mugs.
Still got a fair few pressies to get, including hubbys binocualr case & subscription to National Geographic magazine (Tesco deals;) ), Mil's Boots voucher (will use my loyalty points to buy usual stuff & off set cost, hope that makes sense but I know what I mean & it works out £ neutral in the budget) and got to get sons adopt-an-endangered-species donation (£18 and a nice wildlife print for his room, better than another cuddly toy!)Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
