Halifax Mortgage PPI Claim??

Hi there, My wife has been paying £45.81 to Halifax each month for PPI on the mortgage for the past 13 years, 3 months ago she fell down some stairs in work and had a back injury. Off work for 3 months so far. Halifax have refused to pay any payments on the mortgage so this PPI insurance is indeed not worth the paper its written on. They offered to let her miss some payments which will be added on at the end of the mortgage. So far she's paid £7146.36 towards the insurance. How do we go about claiming this back, as its now being proven to us that this policy is a complete waste of money.

Will the policy never pay out? Why has your wife been declined? Is she still being paid by her work?
Regardless, are you certain the policy is not simply life and critical illness cover rather than PPI?0 -

Is it actually PPI she is paying or one of their other types of insurance. The Halifax TMPP plan is multi-segment. It can cover life assurance, critical illness, income protection and MPPI and any combination of.Halifax have refused to pay any payments on the mortgage so this PPI insurance is indeed not worth the paper its written on.
i.e. is it because it isnt PPI or she has yet to get to the qualifying deferment period or what?as its now being proven to us that this policy is a complete waste of money.
Nothing has been proven. Halifax havent sold any plan that doesnt do what it says it does. Their pricing is rubbish and they oversold things but the products did do as they were intended. So, something is not right here. So, give us a bit more info on what she has and why they have rejected the claimI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
