FTB Mortgage with ccj

Hi All, hope you can assist with a question i have.

me and my gf have just put an offer in for a house which has been excepted but on the day we found out through login into equifax that there is a ccj registered on there on my gf credit report.

This was completely missed of experience hence why the broker gave us the go ahead. after speaking to experian the ccj is now showing.

so we spoke to the utilities company and they apologized and have agreed to have ccj set aside as she never had the account in the first place.

So my question is as its going to take a while for her credit file to be update with the change do we pull out of our offer?

is a letter from the court enough to show the lender that the ccj is being removed as it was added incorrectly so our application does not decline

When was the CCJ registered, how much was it for and which lender has your Broker gone to for the mortgage?

Did the Broker know about the CCJ before they went with Accord?

No but they are still going with them and will show the letter from the court saying it will be removed.

they also said that accord are good because you have direct contact with the underwriter.
  • If you apply pressure to get this CCJ removed then you may be surprised how quickly it will disappear from the credit file. Not always a guarantee but I've seen this take a matter of days with some smart chasing applied.

Once this is removed you'll be fairly assessed by the broker and the appropriate lender, whilst ultimately giving you the best opportunity to have access to the best available deals, subject to your objectives and lenders criteria.
