Chemical Hair Straightening

:j I don't recommend this type of straightening treatment, it has harmful chemicals that can severely damage the hair, that's why I prefer the flat iron which is safer and cause less damage, I use a good one, it's the Karmin G3 Salon Pro that has tourmaline ceramic plates which leaves the hair soft, shiny, healthy and very straight.

My OH gets her hair chemically striaghten every 6-8 weeks, also known as 'relaxed'.
You'll need to get re-treated every 6-8weeks as the roots will grow and the relaxant weakens the hair, if you don't carry on relaxing it your hair has a good chance of "snapping".
Even though she get her hair relaxed she still needs to straighten it every morning to get it smooth.
Black/Mixed race people get there hair chemically straightend all the time with no adverse effects.
The only thing I can say is once you start relaxing your hair its hard not to stop due to the weakening.
My OH pays around £45 for the treatment.
Some brands to look out for is Affirm, Motions, KerraCare...0 -
Have you thought of home keratin kits? You can buy it on Amazon for about £20 and it's fab - think a DIY Brazilian Blowdry.
It won't give poker straight hair but will make a noticeable difference and really reduce styling time leaving hair looking really healthy too. It last for months.0
