Black Rice

Anybody here tried this? I'd never heard of black rice so when I came across a mention of it in a review of a rice cooker, thought I'd do a bit of Googling!

Supposed to prevent all manner of awful diseases, be full of everything good and more or less promises everlasting life! I must try some:)

It's dark colour is because of anthocyanin - which you can get much more cheaply in other foods.

By coincidence, in last night's Masterchef, one of the dishes used black rice - but nobody actually said what it tasted like!
