Hi,

Online mortgage application with HSBC submitted 22nd June. 3 months payslips taken into branch Friday. Application on screen is saying Ready To Offer - is this a good sign?

Also, interestingly, we put property value of £210,000 using Zoopla and a similar house that sold recently but HSBC are valuing it at £228,000 :-)

Thanks

Quick update and a question. On Saturday morning we got a text from HSBC saying the mortgage had been approved and we needed to go online and accept the mortgage offer which we have done.

Really impressed with HSBC online - submitted 22nd June, formal offer of remortgage on 2nd July. No need for a valuation as done online. Just a quick question, does anyone know what happens now in regards to drawdown? We've got builders waiting for the thumbs up that the mortgage is in place before starting renovations so would be good to know what kind of timescale we're looking at.

    Thanks

Give them a call for an accurate timescale. You are lucky to have builders waiting around for work!

Well, when I say waiting, I mean more like waiting so they can schedule us in. It's going to get dusty ;-)

Thanks for the reply. Will give them a ring in the morning.
