Games Console - Xbox or PSP?

Hi I just wanted some advice here on which games console to purchase?
I currently have a dusty gamecube and want to upgrade.
Should I buy a PSP (+ cheap unit and games, portable for use in my flat, work, partners flat etc) or:
an Xbox 360 (+ better graphics and games).
I have ruled out the PS3 for its high price!
Anyone have experience of these consoles and can advise on what is the better long term purchase? Also anyone know of any good package deals? Many thanks

Depends how much you have to spend.
I personally have a PS3 and would recomend it 100%.
You can play games, Blu-Ray dvd's, music, view images all in one. You can get them from around £320 now pre-owned.
But out of your OP, the Xbox would be the winner due the the graphics. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
It's gotta be the 360 hands down...
Awesome games (and more importantly, awesome selection of games), lots of features, good price point (I'm looking at you here, Sony :P)
It really is a great bit of kit.0 -

You need to weigh up whats important to you - if you have one main TV and your other half is going to be knarked if you use it all night then you need a PSP. If you might want something that you can take on hols or use on the train to work, then again its the PSP.
If you want the best quality games then its going to be the xbox.0 -
Xbox 360 is an excellent choice, especially if you have a HD Ready TV.0

Ive got a PSP and have to say that the novelty ran out pretty fast. I seems to be a good idea that you can play games/films where ever you are, but in realistic terms I wouldnt bother with buying one again.0

A 360 if you have a HD tv0 -
Have a PSP, Wii, DS and PS3 ....
PSP - naffish ... battery life quite poor for lengthy sessions. Bit of a novelty - slow game loads, graphics good, game choice okay for blokes, but I'm a girly girl and there's not that many. Looks good though, and plays UMD movies (not that there's many to choose from), you can download extra movies - coming in about £125 if you're savvy ...
Wii .... amazing game play, graphics bit dodgy on HDTV ... good fun, but serious gamers might get bored after a while (£100ish if you search enough)
PS3 .... the best of the best, although still suffering from Sony slow game load, but once it does ... wow! Look through all the codes you can on here, or have a look on ebay - apparently they're reasonably cheap on there. Dunno, got mine from Woolies with 20% off (friend works there, staff double discount day)
DS .... best hand-held ever, good games, okay graphics (not as good as PSP but fast loading), max playability, good interaction .... bout £70 on a good day
Depends what you fancy .... HTH0 -
I would say to get an xbox360 elite if you have an hd tv as my son has one and he loves it. Bought him a ps3 and Iam sitting looking at it lying in the corner not even connected. The xbox360 elite (in his opinion) is the best.0
