Many older films are out of copyright now and are available to download or stream for free. A good example is the classic 1922 Nosferatu - the original dracula film (they just changed the name, which was ironically due to copyright issues).

Thanks I've found this before but lost the website- film I watched was His Girl Friday which is actually quite funny- with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russel. You can search for it at the site easily.
