Hi,
We haven't long been on our DMP.....we've had a letter from Stepchange informing us that
Barclaycard have refused their offer.
Has anyone had same experience and what happened as I'm a bit worried what will now happen.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yea loads of people have trouble with BC, don't worry about it.
Nothing will happen.
They will either, eventually accept, or will sell on the debt, either way you keep paying, all will be well.

Hello,
We are with Stepchange and have debts with Barclays and Barclaycard.
I received letters from Stepchange that Barclays had rejected our offer so I panicked and rung them, they said its just part of the process. They don't take anyone to court and once the account is passed to Recoveries the payment plan will be accepted.
Barclaycard told me my payment wasn't enough for a formal paymemt plan so would be informal which means they would default me.
Been paying all of them since July last year with absolutely no issues so far, all accounts have now been defaulted.

This is good news, from what I have gathered, Barclaycard often don't place the default until much later, long after other creditors would place the default. Meaning once you get to the six year mark for other defaults to drop off, the Barclaycard one could be there for 6 months or more - depending on when it was placed. So good luck to finishing the DMP Kid77
And OP - good luck to you as well, let them default you, then get on with clearing it!Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -
Thank you Amy, they defaulted after 6-8 months of dmp payments so yes it is good that my 6 years has started.
It makes me want to pay the debt of in this time which will be difficult but will give it our best goDMP Number 437
