Ideas please on curtain cleaning??!!

Options
Dear All,

I have got a pair of good quality curtains that I want to sell on e-bay. They are Laura Ashley fabric and lined. Problem is, I think it will cost me too much to dry clean them as they are quite big and will probably cost me more than I can sell them for which is pointless as I want to use the money towards paying off my debts!

Does anyone have any suggestions? They are not heavily soiled, I just feel that maybe they should be cleaned before putting them on e-bay!

Many thanks, Bekibuns x

What does the care label say? If they are machine washable, you could do them in one of the huge-size machines at a launderette to avoid creasing. Or sell them as they are?

Have you done any research to see the item descriptions of other similar curtains being/been sold on ebay recently? :)

    Be careful re washing them.
I had a pair of expensive made to measure, lined French windows curtains once. Whose care label indicated they could be washed. I followed the instructions carefully, but they shrunk 2 inches:eek: . They were then too short . So unless I have to, I would think twice before washing curtains again! Sorry no advice really.

I've always washed my dry clean only ones on a 30 degree wash with no problems but of course will be at your own risk if you choose to.
One day I might be more organised...........
