I was a 'clerk' as you put it, and having to do annual reports, returns and statements for amounts far less than you £11 was not of the pension fund choosing.
However you have done a good thing by having such a small pension, the average Gold Plated Daily Mail LGPS pension level was not achieved by many thousands of workers in school canteens etc.
The average for them was well below, and your pension amount will keep down the overall average and make a mockery of any newspaper headlines about the cost to employers.
