upgraging Mortgage

I have been a black cab driver for 18mths , I have had a mortgage for 5yrs. As my income has increased considerably I applied to my existing Banker (Virgin online) for a new mortgage,( last september) and have just found a new property, but  Virgin have now turned me down as I don't have 2yrs accounts?? when I got my Last mortgage  I worked for the post office, is there anywhere I can get a mortgage with 1 yrs accounts??.
Virgin had the cheek to call me and say they didn't want to lose my account, my wife also has a good income.

Can you apply for a mortgage on the basis of your wife's earnings?

If she is employed this makes the process so much easier as she has current payslips etc to satisfy them. If you borrow the max allowed on her earnings you might not even need to produce your accounts.

I have done this in the past when my partner was self employed.

Glad to hear business is going well. Perhaps you could just pay in cash LOL
