Eat a balanced healthy diet. Talk to friends. Exercise. practice good sleep hygiene. have structure to each day. have achievable goals. focus on positives. if caught thinking about negatives work through your perceptions and look at alternative explanations. accept that some days are bad. tomorrow can always be better.
You don't have to spend money to recover from depression.

How effective are the light bulbs?
I've noticed today that I feel like I'm drowning in darkness lol!! and have been through the house opening curtains as wide as I can, lifting blinds to the top etc.
I dont like the idea of sitting in front of a bright light as i get headaches easily, but would be interested in the idea of daylight light bulbs.
so...is there any info on whether these are effective?*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***

Some depressions wont resolve unless the cause of the depression can be identified and dealt with. sometimes it's a situation (whether known or not) and sometimes it's general life events, which is why talking therapies are mopre effective than medications/light boxes.
Sorry you still feel depressed, but keep looking after yourself. much loveSorry but please keep your signature to 4 lines in length - MSE Forum Team 20 -
SAD Lamps
SAD Lamps or lights advice would be great
SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) lamp....
this would probably be fine for most people £19.99. Energy Saving 2D Task Light 38W
But do be aware I haven't used my sadlights for over 2 yrs now, they are still in the attic. Since I raised my D3 status above 125nmol/l with 4000iu/daily although I have to admit that I'm even better with 5000iu/daily. always better to eliminate the cause than for ever treat the symptoms. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Actually 'savemoney' it's not spam - it's a genuine 5% discount code. What does it matter that it happens to be a referral code ? Use it and get 5% off. This site is here to save people money. Most of your posts are about your own self-interest, not that of others.
If you look at the top of the page, there is a warning triangle, and next to it says:

Yes its :spam: superuser
Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social networking spam, and file sharing network spam.0
