Boy you really don't get it!

It's not poor talk. I am responding to what you are saying - and the fact that you have had loads of interviews and don't seem to be able to get any job offers - I am suggesting it's worth a look in the mirror and stop concentrating, for a while, on what you think others are doing wrong.

Of course I wouldn't say this to the volunteers. Firstly it's not part of my role! - but, more importantly, I would have seen them face to face so would have been able to give them factual feedback based on the interview. All I know of you is what you have written here - which is why some sort of mock interview may be of help. It would be with someone who could then give you an honest appraisal of how you do in that situation

And, sometimes, you know the right person can be very hard to define. But, I suspect, a candidate who thinks that they want a movie may well not be that right person!

Neil, you obviously don't know what you are doing, someone that goes to lots of interviews but doesn't get a job must be far smarter than someone who interviews as part of a job he currently holds........;)

FWIW, when I interview, someone turns up and we have a bit of a chat. I need to know what quals they have and after that, I need to know that they are the kind of person we'll get on with. Works well for us.

Your first post would already raises concerns about your employability, so much waffling, self-centered analysis, I would conclude that you were likely to be the type of person to take too much time wondering the 'why', 'when', what for's rather than just get on with the task. I wouldn't have the patience to manage you.

It is excellent that you have now had an interview where you felt the panel conducted themselves correctly and uncovered the real you.
Next up, will be to see if you get the job.
If this exemplary panel fail to recruit you, you may then feel more inclined to consider and address your own weakness within the process, and heed the advice you have been given on this forum to help increase your employability.

    Put your hands up.

turning up just seems like a waste of time because they can't even decide what the exact role is "We want a specialist. But a multi-tasker.

Tht doesn't seem unreasonable to me - as a potential paraphrase:

We have a vacancy for someone to do X but that won't be the whole job and we will also need them to do more general stuff, or other specialities.

And some of the time they will be working alone and need to get on with it, but there are meetings and team work for other bits of the job and liaising with other people where their roles intersect with this one.

I think the OP just needs to apply for a job that is more suited to his skillset and personality. Like Master Of The Universe. Or Emperor Of Gor.

Thanks! Just finished my jobsearch, got several firm offers after 3-4 weeks of searching. Glad you were all worried about me. I try!

Maybe you should apply for a job.

It's reasonable when you are using something called twisted logic, which you excelled in employing within each of your examples.

Given that the advice offered here has not only been a) not requested but given anyway (I gave most of it in my previous thread, and my advice was better) and b) so spectacularly bad that I would like to submit my second unique theory here: that all job advice is bad advice.

I think the standard of advice here is simply appalling. I'm employed within several days of jobseeking and the people here are lining up to run and fall over themselves in attempt to see who is the most pathetic. You're all giving around the most catastrophic job advice to each other. In a way, it's worked for me quite well.

I wouldn't have the patience to have you as a manager, in that case.

Now you're talking. But I think this numptys-r-us community here isn't really advanced enough for that.

Maybe recruiters aren't hiring you because your picking at them with what's wrong. They wouldn't like someone first day in job to be like this and that is wrong despite the company running that way.
You waffle on too Much I was completely lost half way through.

Why not just set your own business up as maybe giving interviewers some skills in interviewing given that you know so much about them.

I have experienced two interviews which concern a client who works in turn for an agency. This agency, in some aspect, reaches another organisation. It's complicated, but after the diluge of definition, it is a job which essentially are for working in the American military....

I do hope you won't be offended, but your first paragraph is poorly written and the remainder of your post is incomprehensible.

    :)
