Hey guys, hope this is the suitable place for this post. I thought others may have posted the question but no one seems to
I got married recently and I'm
Not one who wants to keep my dress and all I have new bridesmaids dresses as i changed my mind last minute. Does anyone know of anywhere I can sell these on? I paid over a thousand pound for my dress and would be happy with 200 for it but can't seem to sell any of them. They are on eBay, gumtree, pre loved and a couple local selling sites.
They are taking up unnecessary space and I'd love for someone else to be able to enjoy them and get a bargain at the same
Price as we al know weddings are expensive.
Any help would be great, thanks

There are shops that will take clothes to sell, keeping a percentage of the selling price. If you live anywhere near somewhere that's likely to have big events you'll doubtless find such a shop. For instance, there is one in Ascot (speaks for itself), so anywhere like that, or maybe an area where there are boutiques which would probably attract the sort of customer you are looking for.
Try a search using Yell.com for the area you live in. I've just Googled "secondhand clothes shops" in my area and 2 or 3 come up that sell on commission.0

If you exhaust all possibilities for selling them, and still need to get rid of them you could consider donating them to "Gift of a Wedding" who arrange weddings which need to be at short notice because one of the parties is terminally ill. It is a small charity but what they do touches many. Just a thought. Hope you manage to sell them.

Perhaps worth contacting one of the bridal magazines and asking the question via their Letter Page - or I guess some have specialist online chat facilities? You might have more luck there as other people contributing to the page will have been looking for similar information.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

Have you tried Facebook? I am on a local selling site- so the biggest town to me, and I have seen a fair few bridesmaids dresses for sale.
As it is a local site, people can come and have a look and see if they like it etc.0

That is a lot to ask for a second hand dress - unless it is a top designer (think Vera Wang level) you won't get that back for it.0
