Hi
I was wondering what open questions those currently trading as MA use with their customers to get great rationale for their recommendation?
I appreciate it's not a one question suits all, but what questions generally work well for you?
Thanks

Why?
My factfind is around 7 pages, the 6th page is to do with what the client wants from their mortgage - fixed/tracker/offset/no fees/overpayments/how long to tie in for etc.
I tend to have a little chat before I even pick up a pen about what they are looking to do. As I go through the factfind asking about age, income, expenditure I get an even better idea and by the time I get to the 6th page, I could more or less complete it myself without even asking the questions.
I do not have set questions personally. If I went in to every appointment knowing what I was going to say more or less at each part of the factfind I would not enjoy the job.
