Argos......evershed

Hi, hoping someone can help I bought an item in April 14 on the Argos store card I paid a few payments back it was only £40 I do remember not paying the August amount due to no statements I had been paying online and at that time my partner started a new job so had no money to pay this but in sept and oct 14 I noticed a couple of payments to Argos which they said were done by debit but defo wasn't me who paid them as we had had no statements for few months so forgot to pay the rest that was outstanding it was prob about £10 owed, well we spoke to lloyds and to Argos they are disputing those 2 payments as we didn't do and they are sayin they never took it so fast forward from October 14 with no comminunication whatsoever we get a letter from eversheds so call them and explain and now they have passed it back to Argos for us to prove those paymrnts which we did back in oct by sending them the bank steps tenants and ref numbers etc..lol.the problem now is we are in an Iva so my partner no longer has that bank account and why should he Prove it when he sent everything in to them in oct 14.....what can we do now ?

It's quite hard to follow what you are saying has or hasn't happened, but your local CAB would probably be best placed to help you. They could be a better and quicker job if you are able to put together a short chronology, just listing dates/events, and take that - plus any paperwork you've got - with you when you see them.
