We have just moved into a new property. When applying for the mortgage, my partner was not working at the time and has 2 CCJ's so we thought it would be best to apply for it in my name.
We now want to add her name to the mortgage and title deeds retrospectively. Our mortgage company, SPML, have advised that a fee of £100 is payable and also, the new applicant will have to complete a new mortgage application and provide details of earnings etc.
She is not employed as she is a housewife and looks after our two children. Is this going to prevent her from being added to the mortgage ?
Please help.....any advise would be much appreciated.
