Friday 24th June - what small DFW things will you do today?

Options
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

    Morning all :hello:

    Happy Friday :) it's payday :T done the big money shuffle and paid a big chunk off debt that I earmarked for this month. Money into lots of 'virtual pots'

    My list for today:
    Meeting some friends for breakfast, generally cheaper than going for any other meal and will come from general 'spends'
    Other meals from stores
    Checks surveys and FPL
    Washing out on line, another one in on cheap as I was up early
    Post birthday card - stamp from RM survey
    Check phone data
    Go to diy shop and look at door frames
    See if I can find a 'stick' for my tomato plants - sure there is a better word but can't think of it this early
    Need to call and make mortgage appoint - don't know how brex1t will affect that

    Check back later. PF.

    Goooooooood morning,

    Shattered today, so it'll be a short list as I fancy a chilled (lazy) day;

    Bring snacks and lunch into work - Done
    Check banks and YNAB
    Rack a NSD (dubious)
    Have a chilled day
    Make an appointment with Apple

    My god that is a small list.

    Have a good day.

    Meals from stores, sticking to meal plan
    rm survey

    Entertain children for free
    Educate children for free
    Soak porridge overnight
    Run DW overnight
    Run WM overnight

    Nothing exciting, just the usual things that are helping us to achieve debt freedom.

    Hi June Jubilatants,

    Thankfully "Captain Calamity" is making good progress. She's almost able to function thanks to continued use of Mammoth-Strength painkillers.

    What a day politically!

    Just a few wee things today.

    Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:

    * Checked online banking.

    * Did RM Surveys.

    * Bought nothing in the canteen at work.

    * Paid the rent on time.

    * Car Breakdown Cover expired on first of June. Have only just renewed it. First week of the month we were hardly going to use the car, second week we were in Mallorca, third week we were unwell, so there was little point buying cover. Anyway got full cover from Start Rescue again for £49.50. That covers both of us driving in the UK, home-start, accommodation, key cover, and alternative transport. This was a reduction of £5.50 on last year for loyalty and I'm hoping for some cashback through Quidco too. I recommend this company. (Link) Cover starts at £16.45 for a YEAR. Read the Ts and Cs, of course. Love their website and App too, they're simple.

    How about you folks?

    Ally thanks for the tip on car cover. We did a 'deal' with R8C last year and got the newbie rate, but was still higher than your value. I will note their name on my renewal sheet :D made a decision on the job yet?
