Cancelled Order - Where do I stand?

I have just had the same problem with them and the Shrek boxset deal. They took the money out of my account and then contacted me to say that they were replacing it. After reading your post above - I have just sent them another email...fingers crossed!

I hope it works out. If you can't find the director's e-mail address, let me know and I'll post it.

In my e-mail I quoted both their breach of contract (the contract being entered into when they took the money from my account) and "loss of bargain". I was lucky in that they had the exact same boxset available, but in a different region, so they had an easy way out. However, they did state that they didn't feel they were in the wrong, and then explained that they hadn't taken the money out of my account, they have another company do that for them.

you after you had ordered the Shrek collection. We appreciate your
disappointment and we are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

As a gesture of goodwill towards yourself I am going to send the Swedish
version of the set which you have indicated you would be happy to receive. I
hope you will be happy to accept this resolution."

RESULT!!!!!

Thanks to everyone on here - I wouldn't have pushed for it if I hadn't had read this thread. The Swedish version is on their site for 16.99 - the only difference is that the writing on the cover is foreign - it is still region 2. Just goes to show that you have to push for these things. I was sure that they weren't right to take the money and then exchange the order, but I couldn't find anything anywhere to back me up.
