You can't buy anything from Immersun website either, shop and trade links both 404 Not Found?4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -
Why ? .... because I asked a question, and made my decision based on responses. What is dodgy about that.
It was a bit gushing with follow up posts to big them up and you didn't have much previous! I wasn't sure but was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Too many vendors / suppliers turn up on boards like this to try to sell their products.16 Panel (250W JASolar) 4kWp, facing 170 degrees, 40 degree slope, Solis Inverter. Installed 29/9/2015 - £4700 (Norfolk Solar Together Scheme); 9.6kWh US2000C Pylontech batteries + Solis Inverter installed 12/4/2022 Year target (PVGIS-CMSAF) = 3880kWh - Installer estimate 3452 kWh:Average over 6 years = 4400 :j0 -
For those contemplating what switch to buy ...
A week ago I put a post about Solar Switches, and explained my reasons for buying the Solic 200
Just read that one guy today attempted to make a warranty claim for a failed Immersun, and the manufacturer (Eco4), sent an email stating that as of 29th June 2016, the company had ceased trading.
Glad I didn't shell out the £350
Whose to say Solic....or indeed any of the manufacturers of Solar switches will be around to see out their warranties:eek:16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -
You are of course right ... any firm can dissappear.
However given choice at time of purchase if both units do what you want, and one offers 10yr warranty ... that would be my choice.
Interesting posts on Electricians forum on the failures of 2 makes .. now without knowing % failure it's not accurate ... but when same names keep coming up as failed- rings warning bells for me.
For my PV array I have an independent 10 yr warranty on panels & investors.
Particularly important based on rate of closure of PV panel installation companies.0 -
I thought I posted a reply here yesterday but it is not visible, so assume I managed to not submit, hey ho... (Edited - that's because I posted it on another thread - so not going totally mad but apologies for the duplication)
Anyway, I mailed immerSUN tech support and received the following:
"Dear customer
It is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that 4eco Limited has ceased trading as of 29th June 2016.
If you have a technical issue and require support, please click the link below and complete the form, we will do our best to support you."
So, looks like the news is not good. Monitoring site is still working but for how long?????
This is a real shame as the product is great but such is the world I guess....:(0
