Ok you lovely peeps..I need some help compiling a letter
A CCA came back and I was unsure about it so had it checked over by an independent debt advisor recommended by CAB. He thinks it's ok mostly.....
However, it states interest 0% (which probably was an introductory offer or something, I don't recall as it was nigh on 20 years ago) anyway....nowhere does it state that it's promo or for X months or anything, so he suggested writing a cheeky letter asking them to clarify why I had been paying interest when the CCA clearly states 0%......I said it was cheeky. If they cannot provide prof otherwise he said maybe ask for the interest back or to wipe the debt :rotfl:
I'm rubbish at writing stuff like this, so any ideas :T

Zenshi,
If the account was opened 20 odd years ago, and you want to question the validity of your credit agreement, then it's best to do so in the correct manner, as a letter such as you describe, probebley would not even warrant a response from the creditor.
Wearas if you write and point out to them that a pre April 2007 credit agreement that is missing one or more of the prescribed terms, cannot be enforced by a court, and therefore renders the agreement unenforcable, may just grab there attention..I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Absolutely. It sounds to me as though the CCA has been made up. Does it have correct details, eg your address of 20 years ago, bank account number of 20 years ago, your signature, etc, etc?"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

This is my problem, I don't know what it should look like. That's why I had this independent guy look at it, he seemed to think ok
Sourcrates has very kindly agreed to look at it for me but I can't get it scanned in my iPad. I feel I'm going round in circles with itLBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors

Take a screen shot of it, edit out personal details, see if you can upload it that way perhaps ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. If the so-called CCA doesn't have your address from the time it was signed (ie 20+ years ago, your signature, etc, then it isn't the document required. Does it contain those details?"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
I will have another go at trying to scan. I am not allowed to add attachments or I would upload photo and enlarge
On the page titled CCA regulated by credit act etc......it has my name and address along with credit card name and address.
Section 1 states interest rates all show 0%
Section 1.2....fees and charges
Section 2...how much to pay each month
Section3.....we can change interest rates et
Section 4...credit limit. To be told upon receipt of card
That's it, nothing else on there!
Then there's the terms and conditions which states the agreement between us and you....but nowhere does it have my name and address.
There is no date on any of the paperworkLBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors

I'm sorry to be so needy...I hate being needy!
There's just so much conflicting advice on the net and everywhere. If I had a compliant agreement to compare, I would be so much better
I want to do this right, I can't afford to get a CCjLBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors
