Employment Tribunal

I'm taking my ex boss to an employment tribunal for deduction of wages. I was suspended without pay yet my contract and the work policy's and procedures say that suspension is on a paid basis. I have seen a solicitor who says I have a good case. I'm just wondering if anybody knows what happens if my ex employer doesn't respond? Acas have tried calling several times without being able to speak to him. The tribunal date is 28 July. I think he has to respond within 28 days of the claim brought against him but again what if he doesn't?

In all probability, very little. Technically the tribunal can find against him. But usually he will then pop along and say it was lost in the post or some such thing, and they will let him have extra time. Unless, of course, he is using this time to wind up the company...
