How do tariffs work with regards to payment?
So for example if the UK imports a car from america for $50k who gets the $5k in tariff fees? (assuming its 10% for cars imported into the EU)
The UK government? The EU?
And then what happens if that car is re-exported to say France?0 -
I believe:
Tariffs are charged at point of entry and go into EU coffers
No charge when goods are moved within the EU (that's the point)Left is never right but I always am.0 -

I don't see how we have a problem with individuals paying more tax than others, and getting less back in benefits - but we have a problem with nations doing this.
