Before you head out to vote tomorrow, why not do one last check of the facts. It'll be your last chance:

How do tariffs work with regards to payment?

So for example if the UK imports a car from america for $50k who gets the $5k in tariff fees? (assuming its 10% for cars imported into the EU)

    The UK government? The EU?

And then what happens if that car is re-exported to say France?

    I believe:

Tariffs are charged at point of entry and go into EU coffers

No charge when goods are moved within the EU (that's the point)
Left is never right but I always am.

Import the parts and assembly the car inside the EU. Likewise don't import the cheap parts at all.

that is my guess too but then how does it work when its moved from EU nation to EU nation?
  • I don't see how we have a problem with individuals paying more tax than others, and getting less back in benefits - but we have a problem with nations doing this.

It's how we try to create a fairer society for all.
