Wednesday 22nd June - what small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Hi PF & SSh  and hi to everyone who follows
thanks for starting the thread PF:). No need to be embarrassed about getting xmas gifts :)stashed! Perfectly good sense to me!
Not sure what I have planned for today. Will go to the allotment for an hour - have dgd so can't go there for too long or it will kill her joy for it! Will take a picnic, a ball, and colouring books and pens to hopefully keep her occupied.
Measure up plot to start looking for black plastic to mulch (after spending 15 hours cutting back weeds and digging I have changed plot! Have been told that the new one has better soil, it's in full sunlight. But the deciding factor was being told my lot can suffer from the river bursting its bank and if that happens all of the veg can be lost)
All meals from stores need to check fridge and decide what to have. Might do lamb roast
Take dgd to wildlife park - it's just up the road and we have our membership so will be free
make banana muffins & some soda bread
Submit meter readings
another NSDwith this not buying it challenge I think at the moment I'm only spending money 1 or 2 days a week :money:

Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Hi June Jubilatants,
A tougher day at work today but was able to get home a bit early. "Deep joy", I thought....
...then I arrived home to find DW sprawled on the sofa having somersaulted forwards out of the back door, down the steps and landed in a heap on her back against a metal gate. She'd lain there for ten minutes unable to get up.
So, apart from the human catastrophe which is bad enough, I am now trying to juggle all the household duties with work until DW recovers. I may be away a while.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Checked online banking.
* Did RM Surveys.
* Bought nothing in the canteen at work.
How about you folks?

Evening all
Thanks for the start PF
Hope your DW is ok Ally
Looked after little GD all day, exhausted now, and suffering from Peppa Pig overload :rotfl: Apart from that:
HM meals from stores
Made some biscuits with GD, who arrived armed in readiness with a very fiddly rabbit shaped biscuit cutter :rotfl:
Nothing spent today
Entertained GD for free, including a run round the park with the pup
Sold 2 ebay items - got to pack these now
Did some surveys
And that is about it - must go outside in a minute and see if anything in the little greenhouse wants watering - it has rained enough outside today for everything else!0 -

Done everything apart from collect parcel, will do tomorrow when I'm out anyway rather than extra journey.
Also snaffled 3 croissants from work that we're going spare. Being good so they'll go in freezer. Did a couple of surveys.
Off to investigate replacing door frames, want to do it ourselves.
Ally do hope t'other mrs d is ok. Make sure you look after yourself too.0 -
Purple Fairy thank you for starting the thread today.
Ally wishing Mrs D a speedy recovery.
Today was a LSD, treated myself, dn, dd, ds & BIL to ice creams. BIL did offer to pay half, but as it was my idea I declined, he said it would treat us next time.
Apart from that I dealt with a frog and feel much better for it, why do we let things build up for so long?
WM & DW set for overnight, porridge ready for the morning.
Ashleigh and FPL checked as well as library loans.
RM survey done.
Children educated and entertained for free.
Heating off as well as lights and appliances when not being used/needed.
We stuck to the meal plan and ate all meals from storesFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
One income, home educating family0
