Car Loan with No Credit History
Hi,
I have recently moved to the UK and am looking for any advice on companies that offer car loans to people with no credit history. I am earning really well and on a 6 figure salary but the lack of a credit history is hampering any ability to buy a vehicle which is essential for my work.
I understand that interest rates would be higher for me given my lack of history but would prefer not to pay extortionate rates in the process.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You'll stand a better chance if the finance is secured on the vehicle.
What have you looked into so far?0 -
Buy something cheap in th interim then save up for something nicer0

I'm just getting stone-walled at the moment and much shaking of heads yet a friend of mine has a bad credit rating yet managed to secure finance.0

Who is shaking their heads?0
-
I have been to a few car dealers directly and the response has been no at each turn due to lack of credit - I'm a greater risk, apparently, than someone with even bad credit history0
-
Then buy something cheap for cash Lack of UK history will be a problem and if you're being declined by car dealership, there's no palatable alternatives.0

With a 6 figure salary £100,000 pa one month should buy you a reasonable car to allow you to save up for better.0
-
How have you been getting to work so far ?0
-
Heck, making over 100k PA leaves you enough free cash that you can buy a nice car with few months of savings, why would you want to pay interest on that?0

Candidate surely for crazy post of the year......On £5k per month minimum after tax, the OP should have no problem saving to but a decent motor or at the very least putting down a big deposit to get finance.0
