Agree with the nappy advice, I stockpiled loads in different sizes and ended up selling a lot as DS grew out of sizes a lot quicker than anticipated. I also bought tons of wipes and have only just used the last of them - DS is 8 months old! Aldi nappies and wipes are both fantastic and a fraction of the price of pampers etc.
I'd get some colic relief in. Fingers crossed you won't need it but if little one is colicky it'll be a godsend to have some to hand.
With regards to formula, I'd leave it. I planned on BF but bought formula in prep just in case. Had difficulties with it and an extended stay in hospital so ended up formula feeding but the brand in hospital was different to what I'd got in so I ended up not using what I'd bought (and wasting £10!)
I completely overdid clothes buying (thankfully most were secondhand) and loads of stuff was outgrown before he'd worn it. We also got bought so much as gifts, we could have literally clothed him out of gifts for the first 3 months!
If you have a local sure start centre, they're fab for advice and free / cheap activities. Ours ran a free baby massage course and do a weekly baby group.
Hope all goes well and enjoy your time off with your little one - it goes by in a blink of an eye!0 -

I'm 30 weeks and I'll be off in four weeks time (2 weeks annual leave before Mat leave kicks in, so pay is a bit better!!) and we moved into our new house at the weekend.
I'm totally set for clothes(I have a massive charity show obsession and a friend with a six month old who passes everything one to me and then lots of vests from Asda, £2.50 for 3), buggy and crib, will buy changing unit/drawers and cotbed in August for his actual room.
And have been putting away my end of month leftover funds into a baby account, also got payrise back pay into it yesterday.
Our new fridge/freezer arrives tomorrow and that will then start to be stock piled. Mum gave us a £50 Asda gift card as a moving in present so that will go towards that as a few other cushions and throws for the mini sofa bed in baby's room (so Mum can stay overnight when I have baby etc).
Once I'm off I need to sort out the nappy/changing stuff/basic meds, like the colief etc.
Only like 20 more days at work! Has gone so fast!

Hi Everyone, just a quick update#:
- We've got some old blackout curtains that we're going to attempt to sew together so they fit over our front door to try and block the draft & hopefully save a bit on the heating in the colder months
- Had our 3d scan on Saturday just gone & have fell even more in love with our little princess
- Started looking at freezer bags & recipes for the slow cooker so all we'll hopefully have to do is put the meals in there once baby is here
- Joined the local NCT group on FB as they run free coffee mornings & have breastfeeding advice/support
Hope everyone is ok? x"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love." Jane Austen.

What a lovely thread, people helping themselves and benefitting from shared experiences.
Nice to see people taking responsibility for their chosen lifestyles.
Love and best wishes for all of you.

I'm on day 2 of official Maternity Leave. Yesterday I batch cooked 2 different soups (celery, and roast carrot and chickpea - 3 portions of each) and made a big batch of tomato pasta sauce (5 portions).
I also cleaned out the spare fridge freezer, turned it on and they will all be going in there later along with 4 portions of veggie chilli which are already in the main freezer.
Big Tesco delivery is coming at 4pm with all the essentials that we made need over the first few weeks. OH laughed at me when he saw the garage with my stash of things, but was impressed with my planning.
I should have a lazy day today, think I overdid it yesterday a bit. But I also want to cook more and organise stuff!* Rainbow baby boy born 9th August 2016 *

Hi Everyone,
Hope your all ok?
- Stockpile is coming along nicely now, just a few pieces to buy to keep it up
- Looking to buy some decent sized ice cube trays as the lady from homestart @ the antenatal classes said to freeze breast milk in to them as they are around an ounce a cube, so would be a lot cheaper than buying the freezer bags
- Hopefully we'll be using our carpet cleaner to get the carpets done this weekend, nesting still hasn't kicked in and I'd rather sleep than do anything elseso that will be done by the hubby I think under my supervision lol

Hi
Hugs to angel baby mums - I can't imagine how hard that must be and I wish you love and happiness in the future xxx
Emsky* - I would also suggest looking to see if there is a Facebook group for selling baby stuff - I am a member of three in my area and most of DS's stuff comes from (and goes away again!) on there - and he's 5 now. Absolute bargains and you don't have the hassle of Ebay.
