question as ive not come across it as I deal mainly with single guys, a tax rebate and your tax credits, is it something they declare?

No.
A tax rebate is not declared. Your gross income is declared on the form not your net income. Whatever tax is due/refunded does not affect tax credits.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
