Firewood for cooking

I have been searching wood fired ovens and while I'm conducting my search, I want to see whether I can at least get the right wood for the oven.
maple, beech, oak are the type of woods used for cooking.
I am interested in beechwood in particular but anything above should be fine.
Does anyone have any experience with wood fired ovens? does tesco, asda or places like b&m provide these?
I live around manchester.
Thank you
