£142 for nothing from Sun Life! Merci :)

Options
So Sun Life tell me it would be a good idea to take out an Over 50 plan. And, for my trouble they would give me £75 Amazon voucher.

Well who am I to say no .... so I took out said Over50 plan for my good self and Mrs S. Took about 10 minutes on line. Set up direct debit at £4 per month each.

After the first month the nice people at Sun Life sent me and Mrs S two lovely Amazon vouchers for £75 each. I then added these to our Amazon account and decided we would no longer carry on with our Over 50 plan.

Cancelled direct debit and wrote to the nice people at Sun Life to tell them we would not be continuing and so don't bother asking for any further direct debits.

Two letters with two second class stamps went in the post.

Lovely peeps those Sun Lifers ..... they made it so easy for us to have £142 for nothing. Not sure what two second class stamps cost - say 25p each so, true profit be £141.50.

Bravo Sun Life ... :)

A second class stamp is 55p, unless you stocked up.

Seems as though a second class stamp was only 25p less than 15 years ago.

Still things were much better in the sixties dear.

lol ... gee having the price of stamps gone up. Never was one of my things keeping track of the price of stamps.

So, in that case my clear profit is down to £140.90. I have not factored in the cost of the paper and envelope - but it was one sheet of A4 and one envelope. A4 = 0.5p. Envelope = 2p at a guess.

Toner = 0.1p. Shoe leather to get to the post box 0.5p.

Round it up to around 5p then it would be £140.85 profit.

    :D
