Selling camera lenses on eBay
almost
I hope someone can give me a little advice! I have a few Canon DSLR camera lenses that I'd like to sell. Two of them cost me quite a lot of money even though I bought them second hand. One cost about £500 and the other £200. Both have small faults that I'd like to get 'serviced' before I sell. The lens coating on one needs replacing and the other one needs its motor(?) looking at.
Can anyone advise me on if it's worth getting them looked at before selling or if that's going to be ridiculously expensive? Can anyone recommend a reputable company to do this? Although I've spent £1000's on cameras I know almost nothing...
Thank you!

I would recommend paying a visit to the kind folk at TalkPhotography.co.uk who will happily advise you as to where to get them serviced and also allow you to sell them through their Classifieds section.0

Most people won't touch a lens that has some sort of issue, they just want to buy and go. I'd look how much they are selling for - get a quote for repair - and go from there if it's worth it to you.People don't know what they want until you show them.0

I recommended TP to the OP because they know what they're talking about on there and many are capable of repairing themselves so will buy it with the defects. That should save the OP the rigmarole of finding repair quotes and making a decision accordingly.Kayalana99 wrote: »Most people won't touch a lens that has some sort of issue, they just want to buy and go.
