Morning all,
Lovely bright day here I have stripped all the beds and so now have three lots of washing waiting, one is on already will hand it out today.
OH and I took a trip to ALDI yesterday its a long way for us to go as there is only one about 20 miles away we have not been before but I must say I was very impressed, we only got a few bits we had a steak and mushrooms for dinner last night which was very tasty. We stocked up a bit on pasta and sauces etc but I said to OH its worth us going once a month to do a bit stock up shop. OH also got a bottle of Islay Whiskey for £18 so he was very pleased !
Today I need to do some more prep for my interview, I have been jotting notes down and things keep coming to me in the middle of the night, so I now need to transfer this info to a power point which is were I need DD, she will be back later this afternoon and will help me.
I have a nice chorizo in the fridge and some asparagus and fresh eggs so that will feature in todays dinner, maybe with some nice crusty bread.
Have good days all xx
If your dad is still with you give him and extra hug and if not have a hug from me xx0 -

My fingers and toes will be crossed for you and I am sure I am not the only one. Good Luck.
Just drying my hair and washing machine is on so should just make it to hang things outside before we leave.

I have just done an online shop at approved foods and got craft beers for SIL as a surprise. packets of cous cous, noodles, cans of tomatoes, fancy stock cubes and loads of marinades and stir fry sauces all at about a quarter of the price and most of them in date.
All I need now is some cupboards up to put stuff away.
My new hob seems more powerful than the old one (I burnt the potatoes)

REDRUBY - it's good luck from me too for your interview.
Wow you must find Aldi good value to travel 20 miles! We are lucky hereabouts, our Aldi opened about 22 years ago and there are two newer, bigger ones within another few miles. At first I spread my shop between Aldi and Sainsbobs, getting rather more at the latter. Nowadays, 'cos Aldi have started stocking a wider range, as well as the Specially Selected range, I find I only need go to Sainsbobs for odd bits every few weeks. x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Evening everyone
Not had chance to post. It was FIL funeral on Thursday. A lovely service and celebration of his life. DH still not showing any emotion. Not helped by the fact his dd is continuing to cause problems again.
Ds2 also had to go into school to finish off some work. He has been grumpy & hard work.
OS feel like I'm trying to do catch up continually. 3 loads washing done & dried outside today.
Redruby - good luck for tomorrow - sending positive vibes your way.
Tru - sounds like you need to be a dog trainer for others to learn from. Well done to scampi too.
HH - hope things improve for you.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care0 -
Happy Fathers Day.
Hardup Hester I'm sure the coats will make a lot of difference to homeless men.
A lovely family day here. Husband had beers from the children. My dad came round for roast dinner, he lives about 15 miles away. My mum has gone away on in holiday with a friend for a week.
Has been raining all day here.

Hugs to those who need/ want one0 -
Late post from me. Took mum home at lunchtime, stayed for a quick comfort break then headed back home. I was in DS1s little car so had to Bob along at 60 on the M20 with the lorries.
Made sweet chilli chicken for tea. DH just back from scout expedition on the South Downs. DS1 popped out with his friends and had his foot run over by a speeding car. Took himself off to A&E - luckily not broken but it's huge and a nice shade of red and purple. He is on crutches so no driving lesson tomorrow.
Managed to get three loads of washing done today, plus the usual Sunday ironing of school uniform. Spoke to my dad in Cyprus earlier, he is home alone as my stepmom has gone to her native Colombia for a month. I timed it around the football - he is making the most of it having had 30 of us around for the wedding two weeks ago!
Have a good evening all.

Hi all,
Hope you've had a lovely Sunday!
Had quite a mixed day today.
OH and I were invited out for a birthday meal at a local restaurant that, unbeknownst to us, was having a Father's Day special so OH and I ate for £10 a head (had budgeted for £20 each and a little extra for drinks, so this was a pleasant surprise!)
Unfortunately, this was then followed by a trip to the dentist where part 1 of 2 of a root canal was done. My top lip is still ever so slightly numb, but all should be back to normal by the time I've woken up tomorrow.
*Hugs* to all those that need/want them.
Good thoughts and well wishes to those who are missing loved ones this Father's Day.
Love to all
