Please help - mortgage deposit question!

We currently have savings for a house deposit, and are looking for a house to buy. We are planning on selling our caravan, which my partners sister would like to buy, and use this money to top up our deposit for a house. I am just wondering what we may possibly need to prove where this money came from when applying for a mortgage, as there will be no receipts etc, will a mortgage company check where this money has come from? Will we need to get some sort of letter drawn up for the sale?
Thanks for your advice

It should be fine, but the best thing you can do is ask the lender whether they would accept it and what evidence they would require before applying or doing a decision in principle. thanks for replying, I was just worried as it was a large amount of money (£8000) randomly going into our account from partners sister buying it off us, will speak to our broker and tell her about this extra money see what she says, thank you x0

You say there won't be any receipts. Just make one and give it to your sister. when the transaction is made.0
