Remortgaging - Conveyancing

Which is best, mortgage company's legal team (£350) or use my own (£500)?

No questions on price but for level of service and other potential pit falls would be useful to know.

It depends on the complexity and purpose of the re-mortgage.

    Examples:

If you were raising money for a new conservatory or simply product switching then it is usually best to use the lender's in house conveyancers purely for ease and speed.

If however you were, for example, divorcing and removing one name from the mortgage or buyin a partner out, then it may be better to use your own firm if the same firm are dealing with your legal work with respect to the consent order, separation deed, and transfer of equity.
