Macarons? (Frozen or fresh)

Does anyone have any bright ideas where I could get decent macarons (frozen or fresh it doesn't matter) for a tea party?

I don't have regular access to places like Aldi or Lidl but could go to one if they might have them?

I'm cross I missed out on a half price deal on Ocado this week for frozen ones.

Why?

Macaron are very pretty and perfect for a tea party.



My local Waitrose do them but I haven't seen them anywhere else - but I don't have a huge choice of supermarkets in Cornwall.

You can buy cheap frozen macarons from Lidl.

Alternatively, you might think of having a go yourself at making some - there is a huge mystique around it, but if you follow the recipe and instructions carefully, you should get a perfectly decent outcome. OK, it may not look perfect, but the taste is pretty much guaranteed. They are 12 for £2.99 frozen in Lidl. This is a special purchase, so may not be around forever.

This particular one, though, is one that keeps coming back (they were last around at Christmas).

These were on BOGOF at Lidl Chesterfield Chatsworth Road at the weekend - presume as left over from French week they wanted them gone.
