T3 Collect......

Options
NOT SURE WHERE TO PLACE THIS SO PLEASE FEEL FREE to MOVE.....

Hi All

Just received a text message from T3 Collect saying that they have been trying to contact me and to call them on a london number quoting a ref number.....

Well. First off I have not been contacted by them by letter thats for sure, they could of called me only mobile as i don't always answer numbers i don't recognise. but not mail and no messages and no other txts have been received.

Does anyone know who these guys are... the website says they are financial advisors but they are not regulated by the FSA....

The only other thing is that I had a debt collection agency mail me last year over a debt to mobile phones.net from 3 years ago.... claiming i had not honoured a contract. that was all sorted out as the phone was actually sent back to the company the same day as I received it die to be already opened and the contract was cancelled (and that was from mobile phones.net) it took the debt collection agency another 3 months to confirm this and end the debt and collection.....

i did see on the website that mobile phones.net is a customer of this so called company.... which makes me think that the issue from 4-5 years ago is not over..........

So. is T3 a real legit debt collection company or is it a scam.....

???????

It seems to exist as a debt collection agency. There's no claim to be registered with the FCA, no FRN number, on their website. But the FCA register appears to be unavailable at the moment, so I can't check. https://register.fca.org.uk/ when it comes back

Regardless of that, you can ignore text messages and just respond if they ever make a specific allegation in writing.

First off, advice above is good, returning stuff, especially a contract mobile phone, can be a nightmare sometimes.

Once you order your phone, and its delivered, the assumption then is your going to keep it, so you get invoiced for your first month pretty quickly, if you then return it, this invoice will already of been processed, so it could be something of that nature that remains outstanding, as someone may not of cancelled it, when they should of done, happens more often than you would think.
