Mortgage for EU citizen

Hello everyone,

This is our first post on this forum. I hope someone can help us :)

My wife and me are 2 years now in the UK and we would like to buy a property. We have permanent jobs and also we have 15% deposit. Can we apply for a loan even if we are less than 3 years in the UK?

Many thanks

You can always apply, getting accepted however...

You would possibly get accepted, though probably not at headline rates or mainstream lenders. Many will want to see at least 3 years of UK credit history, 6 years is better.

Go find a broker and discuss your options...

There are several lenders who will lend to EU nationals who don't have three years in the UK, but many that won't.

As suggested, an independent broker would be your best first port of call.
