Tarnished silver bracelet

I have a one year old Links silver bracelet that all of a sudden has gone very brown and tarnished.
I'm looking at ways of bringing it back to life but not sure if any will work, and also it's a stretchy bracelet so I'm worried that anything I try may damage the elastic. Does anyone have any tips on what I might be able to do?

I have a lot of silver jewellery and use something like this:

You can probably pick them up in B&M etc.
I've had mine for years and it's looking pretty grubby but still does the business.
I sometimes use this:

that you can get for a couple of quid in Wilko but I wouldn't use it on something that has elastic.
Lots of tips on using other household things if you Google it.0 -
Toothpaste works wonders and I can't imagine that would damage the elastic0

I just wear all mine while I get a wash.. never had an issue..
run through a dishwasher? works for cutlery.
soak in vinegar? or get the jewellery bath stuff ..
You can get them rhodium coated so they are shiny again if it is worth the money.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Take it into a Links shop - they'll clean it and check the elastic for wear and tear... it's all part of the service.
I have a Pandora bracelet and charms whic are quite intricate - I use an anti-tarnish box to store the bits I'm not wearing.:hello:0 -
line a small bowl with tin foil, pop in some soda bicarb and the bracelet, pour on hot water ,this is how i clean my silver jewellery.
But, I think if LINKS offer the service, take it to them, they'll make it look new again.0 -
Something that might be worth a try when you've got rid of the tarnish....
I keep a small silica gel crystal pack in my jewellery box, and replace it every few months. Cheap on Amazon and I don't have tarnishing issues.
The packs I use are the same as those you find at the bottom of handbags when you buy them.0
