Most stores are happy to change a packet of nappies if wrong size/outgrown. Receipt helps but I expect they prefer it if you bought recently. Think dd changed sizes in boots and tesco without receipt. Sure this would be one of aau1 fields of expertise.

I too have a new grandchild on the way. Very early stage due christmas day. Or starting on nappies just yet as seem to glitch often.
Mum to be is a nurse and used to work gyne theatre recovery. She was lucky enough to see scans at 6,7 and 8 weeks when they finally gave her a photo. Past problems and a nice work colleage made the scans possible. They are over the moon :)

    How lovely, congratulations!

Regarding the first paragraph. It will be paid out of his estate one day as these things don't go away. So keep you cool and know you are the better person.

Thank you, I really do appreciate that. x

And huge congratulations about the news of another grandchild. x

I've taken nappies back to Sainsbury, no problem. It was for a much younger friend, she was upset because of being on a tight budget but was well in 'credit' (not to say overwhelmed) with packs of 'wrong' nappies gifted to her.

So off we went, baby and all, to CS at Sains, and I did the talking, no problem at all, everything exchanged for what she wanted.

Most places seem happy to exchange for a size up/down in the same brand.....especially for a clueless dad who doesn't know what he's doing :o  :rotfl:

Occasionally i was met with "we're not supposed to but just this time...."

I had endless problems with them a few weeks back. They tried ignoring me and then said it was basically a problem at my end. After MUCH moaning by me n F/B and live chat they finally said they had a computer glitch at their end - their system was showing a different amount due to the figure I had. Took them a week to sort it out. I was able to claim then - but took them nearly a month to cough up. I do not like them !

ta for this, so as with most things persistence seems to be the key. I will keep messaging until I get a response.
Also I will message through OHs FB as well
Its not much money but I don't like to let it build it up

Talking of tinned steam sponge puddings.
I opened one to cook in the microwave while watching the news on tv ( in the kitchen), it was when the tsunami happened.
I had taken one lid off, was taking the bottom off , got distracted and the tin lid flew off cutting my thumb.
It poured with blood, OH told me to pull myself together until he saw the cut and had to take me to A& E, think it was on boxing day.
Needed stitches and a tetanus injection, plus we were there hours!

Never again would I buy one!
Plus I have the scar to remind me.
My late mam did a similar thing with one of those oval tins of ham, luckily the village doctor was my dad's mate as mam hadn't seen a doctor since the NHS started 25 years previously and it was boxing day!!
