I'm working in charity shop today but it's very quiet. That suits me as my knee is agony when I stand or walk about

Sometimes it can take a while yes, but it may be worth contacting customer service.

afternoon all

We were on the way home but we thought we would just nip into town when OHs phone rang.
Errant son instead of just going to his temp job for an hour for induction had been asked to do a 12 hour shift, 6 until 6
We had planned roast pork for dinner so OH said to put the oven on now and set it all up, giving instructions.

20 mins later we got home and the kitchen was filled with acrid smoke and stunk as did the entire house - Errant son had misheard and thought his Dad had said
put oil on the baking tray instead of
put foil on the baking tray
well if it would be :rotfl: if the house didn't stink now of cooking oil almost on the point of bursting into flames :mad:

and yes we are cross as the roast will now be a rushed dinner instead of a slow family one and also very annoyed that he has agreed to a 12 hour shift - he has never done as long a shift or ever done a night shift or even worked in this factory before ...deep sigh.
Just have to hope it puts him off doing it again.
He has a big interview on Monday morning as well so we don't want anything ruining this.
