mhoc, how did Errant son do at his interview on Wednesday? :)

He seemed to do OK on the actual day, it was a vast site so plenty of things going and everything was on site even a swimming pool. Plus the best bit was that they had staff accommodation for £190 a month :j
But it was a commercial center - everywhere else he has worked has been a charity and I seem to think although all outdoor centers have similar gaols the emphasis is different.
All the staff seemed to be ex PGL which also rang alarm bells
This time the interview was a formal one in front of a panel of three (and actually it made the one he had in mid wales even more suspicious, as if it was set up)

He was the only person being interviewed - the other candidate went to the wrong place and ended up in east Anglia

So afterwards he set off for Kent for his ex work place to collect more of his stuff, receipts for expense charts, 2 coffee tables from his old place and his 3 bikes.

Then he drove for 5 hours again and got home about 11

Next morning inevitably he got the phone call that he had not got through, not enough experience - honestly his CV covers 2 full pages and he has worked with all age groups, kids and young adults including primary in 4 centres now, in the Uk and HK
Well it is definitely their loss

So now he has an interview near Llangollen for next week.
He also has an interview for a place just outside Edinburgh for the week after - not sure how we are going to organise this. The easiest method would be to go on the train and then the tram across as its only 20 mins from Waverly - have to figure out how much this is going cost. The interview is only for an hour and no practical or site visit involved which is un usual, normally interviews take most of the day. Its a long way to go for an hour.

A new vacancy came up yesterday for another center near Kendal which he needs to email for a application pack. I don't think he has yet - I am itching to do this myself as I don't know why he is dawdling. Kendal again would be back in his perfect location

In the meantime he was mostly sawing wood in his van yesterday as stress relief - he brought back from kent another 3 holdalls of stuff and huffed and puffed when I said it all had to go up to his room and not all over the dining room. The 3 bikes are living in the van and the 2 coffee tables are going to his big brother when we eventually drive across, in the meantime the study has one and the guest room has the other - the house now is bursting at the seams.

Much relief he has finally finished his work expenses claims form dating back to February, I've checked it and it has been posted off :j

Yes it appeared while we were in Sainsbobs which was good timing :D but my store only had 2 jars left

Also the bahlsen jaffa cake type biscuits which are on COS from Sainsbobs with 40p cashback - my store had 3 packs in the reduced section for 79p :j
I thought I would risk buying them and COS have accepted the reduced price :j

Now When I look again it seems like you can claim up to 12 packs - I just got one per device/account. It might be something that Sainsbobs are no longer stocking so they are stock clearing through COS :)

OH has been eating the very acceptable jaffa cake looky likey biscuits from Aldi - very acceptable they are to

The mini ones we got through COS were very acceptable to the youngest GC 14 months

Before we set off this morning I noticed on shopimum a free bag of MCain roast potatoes - they have been on before but I've never claimed for them. It was only on OHs app, not mine and it was only for 2 hours - this was at 8 in the morning so much grumbling about it - shopimum up to their usual tricks.

When we got as far as Morribobs OH checked his app and it now said 5 hours left so off he went, found the right pack and scanned them and as we went through the SS tills he scanned the receipt and put the claim in there and then - very pro active but I think it was mainly because he was thinking it meant he didn't have to peel, par boil and roast pots from scratch so very labour saving :rotfl:
