You're lucky as, if I provided the data, I'd knock a few pence off you as I have those at £2 in M. That's the instore price I have - I now notice £1.72 online exclusive reduced to clear - pull the other one:rotfl:! (Only the decent RTCs on here, not the silly ones like that.)
There will be another M list update as I have some latest prices from 12th April. It's been delayed for a day - I have lots of regional fresh pies/pasties and needed to visit a store in another area yesterday. Most of the items are now showing full price but the Welsh Pantry Monsterbite pasties are still 75p (as of yesterday). M has been putting some prices back up - I think last time I had a lot more and several of them had gone up in price to "offer" prices which had crossed out even higher prices than those on msm, so those were simply deleted - do not get caught out by what appear to be price reductions on msm, if they are not on the M list, they've possibly gone up in price!
I think there are a few prices increases this time but, sometimes, you can think they are when in fact they are slightly different products. For example, this time I had the Gino's frozen breaded chicken steaks showing, in effect, was £1.98, now £1.75, which I thought was a price increase as I had some Gino's at £1.50 on the list. However, I notice the Gino's on the list are the Poppin Chicken and they are "probably" still on judging by the Gino's Fries & Nuggets still being £1.50. They are probably on offer until the same date; however, this time sadly I don't have the Poppin Chicken as none of the stores I visited came up with it - it's gone OOS in the main store I had it and there was another chance elsewhere but the other store didn't have it. However, with Poppin Chicken in A being on lower price - this I notice has now gone to an even lower price
ASDA Hot & Spicy Popping Chicken (600g)
50p 8.3p / 100g
and I now feel short-changed as I bought it at £1 a few weeks ago:( - that worked out at a good price back then, but isn't now. I wish I didn't look into this thing just now and wished I'd never seen it. That's twice I've been caught out by Poppin Chicken turning out to be too expensive - I went for the clearance version in M at 40p, only to find that the above much larger product at A at £1 worked out better and, look where it is now...! In M, there are some new versions of some of the post-Christmas items, including Poppin Chicken, and it looks like the new versions are full price:( - I will clarify later, when I reach the info. in my pages, whether one of the new products is on the same BC or not - the new versions are different pack colours and sometimes sizes and even type as well - for example the old Poppin Chicken is a bag but the new one is a box - however, all irrelevant due to Hot & Spicy Chicken in A at 50p (unless the old version in M has gone down even further, and it would now need to go down quite a lot, which seems to me very unlikely).
There are some reductions in M - ice cream cones have gone back up it seems but some lollies, including Raspberry Screwballs, have gone to 80p - three others are on £1 RTC but cheaper store specific stock may be available - but the main ones seem to be many of the 2 pack Birds Eye chicken grills are at 73p RTC. This may look good, in the light of normal £1/any 2 for £2 offers - however, they work out more expensive than some 5 pack Birds Eye versions on £1.67 RTC in M and, we've had much better before than even those, such as the 4 pack Light & Crunchy Breaded Chicken at £1 RTC (Sains Basics chicken now at £1.20). I have had the 2 pack Birds Eye grills on the list at higher prices a number of years ago - those when 84p offers (sub-£1s) seemed good - but we do seem to be far more savvy these days.
M do - or did, as of Wednesday, still have 4 pack Light and Crunchy Breaded Chicken but they probably should not have done. I saw one, slightly battered, pack in one store but BB February 2017. I also have many stores (4 in total) with stock of Alberto Triple Pack Cheese & Tomato pizzas but, as far as I know, the BB date on all of them is March 2017. As far as I'm aware, they've been on £1 clearance price but I've never seen an RTC SEL for the Cheese & Tomato version anywhere - perhaps one was never produced - so M do seem to have stock that they have not got rid of within the BB. I have got about 10 packs at one store and several packs around in several other places. I think they may remain in the freezers, with staff not aware that have gone past their BB, and may diminish if some customers pick them up and don't think to look at their BB. I do find stock that is past its BB date - it doesn't happen very often but it happens quite rarely - these are not the worst examples - I think the worst I saw was some biscuits packs that were nine months old. When Savers Lollies disappeared on them for several months - I think M may have stopped having them produced for a year - I did eventually find them in one place - I think this was probably April last year - with stock on BB October 2015. Soon after, the new stock (which has remained/been replenished ever since) appeared across stores and the product is now still at M - but, during the loss, it had, it seems, still keep around at one M that never got rid of them.
I don't know whether Savers Cornflakes are no longer being produced, as they seem to have disappeared from several stores for me - I do still have them, in two stores (out of six), but not as widespread as they have been before.
Elsewhere, I added some new items to the list last week. They always seem to have some good offers on whenever am I not there:mad:! So, I did add some on as I happened to be in M anyway and just what I happened to see in my one store but this did need a proper check which has now been done. I also needed to find something, which I still haven't found, I did a clear-out at home and I found :eek:a page (two sides of paper) that had got lost and was never entered onto the M list! It was from several months ago, and I've now already added the items, mainly RTCs, that weren't the items temporarily on special offer, onto the list last week. As I was doing so, I thought "what's the point?" but "these items can stick around for a while so are probably still somewhere so I'll add them on anyway".
The items included the Jacob's caddies that had gone to 50p - I kept mentioning them but, somehow, I never put them onto the list as I missed those two pages out - but which items was I thinking of removing entirely from the list? That's right - I also got an additional large Chocolate pouch at £2 RTC so I sneaked that onto the list and it's now there with the other ones but, as I was doing so I thought about removing all four of them (that I already had there) rather than adding the additional one.Savvybuyer wrote: »Nestle Quality Street (550g)£2.00

Cadbury Roses (500g)£2.00
Mars Celebrations (490g)£2.00
Toblerone Tinys (415g:()£2.00
These were now the very items I thought would have gone - they were RTC in my stores ages ago and seemed probably available nowhere now - so I was nearly ready to remove these items and no other items whatsoever. Well, of course... :rotfl:I was right not to remove them! I have had a store that had a couple of them in stock yesterday. So, it seems, the products have been RTC and been and gone months ago from some places - as the clearance of stock after Christmas. However, they are, months on now, available, for the first time since then as far as I know, in another M. So there were are - RTCs that I add on months ago may not arrive back then and may only arrive now in some places. It's also possible, I suspect, they I may be absent of some RTC products for several months and only add them on - after they've been and gone from some places months ago - when they finally land in one of my stores some time later. But, keep an eye on the RTCs - as well as sometimes going to even lower prices after I've had them on much higher RTC:( - I will not be removing them as they may only just arrive now in some place or other.
I think most people will have no luck with these chocolate pouches at £2 now. They were RTC months ago and have long gone. However, someone may now have some of them - I saw them only yesterday - and I think they are still BB June 2017. So "RTC months ago and long gone" is merely as far as probably most people's stores are concerned. They are still on £2 RTC and still available somewhere is probably more accurate (it's certainly accurate, as regards three of the versions, yesterday). It's typical that the one item I think of removing, I will find somewhere a week later. So, it was right for me to add an extra one of them on (which I did have, all along, but hadn't put it onto the list) rather than removing any of them, as some of them have now turned up! Months later than anywhere else.
The Jacob's caddies at 50p I suspect are long gone from almost everywhere by now - however, someone found them last year just before the higher price Christmas prices came in, so maybe they are around somewhere all year round - the only time I don't have Christmas-themed items on my list is around Christmas. I will not be removing the Christmas items at the foot of my list just yet, as I have found one of them, or maybe an additional Christmas item:rotfl:, this week on an RTC shelf somewhere, and I won't remove Hallowe'en items as I found one of those last time. I have some additional Valentine's Day items as well now, and some updated prices/maybe an additional item or two from Mother's Day. In fact, I like every season at the moment except for Easter and gardening. I like Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Hallowe'en at the moment and have items from all of them. The season I don't like at present is Easter, which I shall start liking next week. And the gardening season I won't like for a while yet. However, as for Easter - do look around as I found some damaged Easter egg boxes on RTC shelves knocked down. Of course, as presents, people won't want them in those states - even though chocolate is chocolate - but, for myself and the adult here, where we are having them but not bothering with them as presents, they are absolutely fine.
I don't think we had any glitches this year - and the 5 pack which aren't proper Creme Eggs anymore as they changed the ingredients - were bought against £1 equivalent prices (M at St Helens immediately before the start of the season and against T at 2 for £2 offer on one brief period during it) - £1 for 5 a bit dear given that HB did 8 for £1 some years ago - and should have been the 12 pack at 25p RTC in M but I never found those anywhere - but I managed to visit the right store to get two damaged pack Mars Medium Eggs at 45p each. It turns out that one of them is a completely fine, undamaged egg and Mars bar but the other :(the egg has damaged a bit but still has the Mars bar. But - cheaper than spending £5 on some eggs and getting £2 CB, as that's still spending £3 on eggs! Of course, the £5 offer with £5 back would be better, but that's limited to 2,500 and they don't want me to have that offer as I'm an existing user:( - what I should probably do is sign up someone else and get the referral bonus:money: plus they can get me some free £5 eggs:money:. I ignored the 75p RTC shelf Mars Medium Egg, for me, in a later store so I didn't do too bad:T.
I think I missed a Muller glitch that was paying more than spent (even if it should have compared against M at 10 for £3 instead of S at straight 35p:p) but never mind anyway as I wasn't bothering with something I wouldn't otherwise be getting and would have had to have bought fillers in order to have gone them merely about free.
There will be nothing that great on the list:rotfl:. But, maybe something useful. The list will be updated, from 12th (and a bit of the 13th) April, over the next several days.
Btw, I can confirm that some people still have (or maybe have only now) the Typhoo 480 bags boxes. I suspect they are most probably continuing on £5.0 -
Walked up to Lidl to buy a prawn cocktail as Mum said we have to eat fish today.

Well posh & very very busy, full of families on their way to coastal holidays
Place was stripped bare of essentials - poor staff didn't have time to restock.
Unfortunately SA on till was busy texting the whole time, how on earth can she text & put through my shopping in seconds, leaving me trying to shovel it into my trolley whilst she impatiently waits for me to pay? whilst still texting..
So I ask her.. Boyfriend has left her, moved out, she is in work, frantically texting him
Now I've just checked my receipt for shallots price, and she has put all the reduced items through at full price
I know I should of checked then...... damnationOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Afternoon all!
Snap, I've had this before and I used their online 'contact us' page to write an email and they send me a voucher for the difference. Might be worth a try?
Spent all morning buying DIY bits as expected and now not enough time to finish any of the jobs, it's the same problem every timeApparently advanced planning and purchasing is just too much to ask! Hoping for dry weather at least one day out of 4 so I can get the lawn cut, it's so long I couldn't see there was a blackbird in it this morning until it flew off!
Got a lovely chicken casserole in the slow cooker so all the cheap lidl and Asda veg is getting put to good use! Only slight issue is that I didn't put it on til 4 so it'll have to be tomorrow's tea instead :rotfl:
ETA: Scamps I know it sounds crap, but he did technically take it without paying so they are within their rights to sack him, it may well come under gross misconduct so no comeback. My BIL had a similar situation, he works in security for a store and took a chocolate bar because he had a funny turn and needed sugar, but didn't have time to pay for it on his break, so he said he'd pay at lunchtime but he later got called in and suspended for it. I think they let him off in the end but it was a close call.0 -

I always make a mistake with Lidl, as I always buy the 1Kg carrots and the 500g Parsnips as soon as they are 29p.
I did it again this year (on two of the carrots packs anyway:():(. I should have waited, as Aldi's Parsnips are 600g but go to the same price as Lidl (and thereafter 19p).
So, don't buy Parsnips in Lidl as they are lower weight! I should indeed wait until the Carrots are 19p and not go for 29p again. Luckily I have waited on some of them and now got some additional Carrots at 19p. All these things have been reflected on the M list btw:rotfl:. No good going for 3 for £1 there, although it seems, non-whoopsie wise, M are best if you just want Brown Onions and/or Spring Greens.
(On frozen veg., unless Aldi's fresh Broccoli at 29p works out cheaper, frozen Broccoli should be Avs M slightly cheaper, otherwise Aldi at 85p. However, the Green Beans, also on 85p in Aldi, seem no longer best there - it's now, as far as I'm aware (and if you know better, do let us know) 600g Green Beans in Heron Foods on 2 for £1 (also Shredded Cabbage 600g, ignore everything else as lower weight:rotfl: - and only ever buy in 2s) as they, the Green Beans, work out very slightly cheaper than Aldi's (which were already good price).)
Carrots 1Kg - 19p Aldi/Lidl.
Parsnips 600g - 19p Aldi (not sure you get more parsnips? - may be bigger/weightier ones but need to have more individual parsnips per pack so people in the house don't simply pick up one parsnip and use the whole lot regardless of weight).
Leeks 550g - 20p Asda. Not that you worry about 50g more and, if you don't, then 500g Leeks at 19p in Aldi as the ones in A simply have you paying a penny more if you have the same number of meals using the leeks anyway and simply consume slightly more.
Cauliflower - 29p Aldi.
Courgettes (3 per pack - 500g) - 29p Aldi.
Hesitating to put 2.5Kg Potatoes at 29p here, as that's v.expensive compared to whoopsied 2.5Kg potatoes at 10p (or 12.5Kg at lowest price 49p = about the same as 10p per 2.5Kg).
Broccoli - frozen - watch to see whether fresh is cheaper if not then frozen 85p Aldi if not got enough items to do Avs M (technically cheaper).
Green Beans - frozen - Heron Foods on mbuy.
Spring Greens/Onions - Morrisons (mbuy) - maybe Avs M but I don't know whether Onions will work (change in name at Mr A) - if Onions weren't to work, then mix and match would not work. Suspect it might be just Spring Greens with M pricing on APG, but I might be wrong again as usual. (Any wombles showing M onions price (even if just one or two packs bought) being picked up on the APG? TIA.)
As for Parsnips in Lidl (and, indeed, 29p Carrots in Tesco/Lidl too soon:(), I have made the same mistake as I did before Easter last year!
So the moral is, next year (or Christmas?), if you see Parsnips in Lidl go even to 29p, wait on them as Aldi's slightly bigger pack will go to the same price soon. I shall never again jump straight for Lidl as soon as I see them. And I need to wait for 29p to become 19p.0 -

Have to admit we were stuck in the middle off nowhere (intentionally). We did go out on the hotel bus, went to a local market a couple of tImes, extremely cheap at the markets, even by our standards.
We went end of September and it was fine.
It is better than Mexico for going out and about, the area we were in was very rural. People are happy enough and friendly.
As for things to do, it really depends on where you end up. We could have taken a trip into Havana but it was a long way away.
It is more of a chill out holIday, or it was for us anyway. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
