Yeah (although not as neat along the top as the pic), and put some greaseproof paper in the bottom/made it in a tin foil dish so was easy to get out.

Are you going to eat it all before you disappear over the horizon?

I would use ginger nut biscuits - digestives are a bit predictable and I would add in slithers of ginger as well - the stuff you get in the very expensive jars in syrup.
but we use a lot of ginger ....:D

Now I think about it the last ones I got were mainly homewear extra points ones from about the 2nd or 3rd week in March but a big fat nothing since

And look a bit further out for the night before hotels, not just ones on site, might be a bit cheaper, plenty of places within an hours drive of Manchester - depending on the time of your flight - look at Travelogue and Premier Inn or Accor websites to start with eg Macclesfield or even Nantwich is only a 45 min drive from the airport.
In fact you could make it part of the hols - stay someone totally new and unknown
