you appear to be saying it's completely ok for charities for PEOPLE to profit from the deaths of completely fit and healthy horses raced purely for HUMANS entertainment please do correct me if I am wrong as it appears I often am lol xxx

No you have the influence of the Elite set at far too high a level. The race is going ahead whatever the Elite do or don't feel.

All that is being suggested is that some charities may benefit by a little bit of fun that the Elite may have with a sweepstake.

fun? ok and no I am asking a question if that question has been misunderstood then fine but I have my opinion on this too and I will voice it on here and I can do so cos I am shopping in a shop whilst I am doing so please block if you disagree as I can't really be arsed with ppl who think horses dying is fun - disclaimer as I hit submit I purchased something in a supermarket thanks for reading
We are many we are one xxx

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

You are missing the point. You have misunderstood. No-one is saying horses dying is fun, don't put words into people's mouths that they didn't say.

Anyway the Elite is a nice place, so I'm not responding further.

Auto....I don't believe that anywhere in its a secrets post do they mention what you are suggesting....however they did put in the line of being aware of "mixed views"....

Let's just leave it at that ....a mixed view...where yours and probably a few others differ from that given by its a secret.

We dont need to respond to a level that may cause offence or contention...

If there is a sweepstake then a winners charity....be that human or animal ((their choice could benefit)....
at least on the thread lets avoid conflict and too much view....what you choose to express in a PM is potentially different....take it there,please....

I am greatly offended by horses dying for entertainment that is my opinion please block me if I offend you that's all there is to say to you although I do agree this isn't the platform for a debate on the subject as after all money is the ultimate goal and genuinely thanks for your reply xxx

    :)

    Hope everyone is well?

Washing on line so hoping for the sun to come out ...

Interesting hour spent yesterday with my neighbour laid out in car park with her arm down the storm drain...
Her Grandson had dropped her daughter's car keys with house keys attached down the drain :eek::eek:
We found a bucket & tried to bail out the water which was disgusting & smelly :p
Then had to extend bucket with cable ties to reach water..
Council said they would be there in a minute...
The worrying part was car keys wouldn't work as chip would get wet.
Luckily her OH arrived with baling twine & a big magnet :T
Keys rescued, car started :T just in time to collect Grand daughter from school - phew :)
I have ordered her a cork ball key ring from a Marine Chandlers shop ;)
    Our Family Motto ~
If all else fails - read the instructions...

I wont block you auto....I read most posts from everyone purely because whilst many of us have differing views we do hopefully all contribute to the forum and it is the informative content that you could bring to the thread that I am interested in and may miss if you are blocked.

What is unfair is turning the thread...albeit briefly into a platform to express opinions that could then escalate .....
Thats when it needs to go to PM...for the sake of the thread please.

I've now said all I will...and am off out for the day.....
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
